PROCEDURES IN BORROWING MICROFILM MATERIALS
- Observe schedule of services at the Microform Section. It is open Mondays to
Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Inform the Microform Section staff of the title of the material requested.
- If you have been referred to the section by another unit of
TNL, possibly the General Book Section, and issued the microform
roll number of the requested, present this microform roll number
to attending staff.
- If all microform readers are used, wait for your turn, for the
policy is first come, first served.
- Listen to instructions on how to operate the microform reader
after the attending staff has installed the microform roll inside
the machine.
- You can read for as long as you like. There is no time limit
in the use of the materials unless another user wants to use a
material which happens to be in the same microform roll you are
reading. In this case, you only have two hours to use said
microform material.
- In requests for reproduction or printing of a microfilm frame,
- fill up a provisional payment receipt issued by the attending
staff and, afterwards, give it back to him/her.
- wait until reproduction using the microform printer is done,
and the attending staff write the total number of pages and total
charges on the provisional payment receipt. Price is P4.50 per
copy.
- bring the provisional payment receipt to the Cashier's Office
in the Administrative Division and pay amount stated in the
receipt.
- ask for the official receipt (OR).
- bring both the provisional payment receipt and OR back to the
Microform Section. Present them to the attending staff who notes
down the OR No. on the provisional payment receipt.
- leave the provisional payment receipt with the attending staff
and keep the OR as your copy.
- Stop your reading on or before 5:45 p.m. Library services
close at 6 p.m.
