PROCEDURES IN BORROWING PRINTED PUBLICATIONS FOR ROOM READING
- Upon registration with the guard at the entrance area, secure also a few borrower's slips.
- Consult the card catalog. You may search according to subject
(title) or by author, both of which are arranged alphabetically.
- Write down on the spaces provided for in the borrower's slips
the publication material's call number, its complete title, name
of author, year of publication, including other information asked
in the slip.
- Present the accomplished borrower's slips to the library staff
at the Circulation Desk. You are only to borrow two books at a
time.
- Wait for the Circulation Librarian to come out of the stack
room. In case the librarian does not have the material you
requested, listen to the explanation that maybe the material is:
- already borrowed
- missing or lost
- you may have wrongly copied the call number in the card catalog
- Return borrowed materials after two hours of room use to the
librarians at the counter. do not leave them at the counter but
wait until the Circulation Librarian checks and matches the
materials you borrowed and the borrower's slip's information.
- You may borrow the same publication material again unless
another use is going to read it.
- Return all borrowed materials on or before 5:45 p.m. Library
services close at 6:00 p.m.
